SPRING-SUMMER 2010 WOMEN TRENDS
26 / 02 / 2010 by Pull and Bear

PORTOBELLO
This collection transports us back in time to those headily lazy days on the Italian coast of the 50s. Floral in essence, it combines pastel tones with bright blues and calming neutral tones. Retro and tulip silhouettes that cinch the waist and delicate lace edging trims. Strapless, low back dresses. Multicolour stripe prints vie with large and small crochet-look flowers with touches of watercolour tones.

KAKI DELUXE
The military look subtly revamped into romantic silhouettes. Delicate fabrics such as silk and voile. Combat pants and biker-inspired skinny legs in satin contrast with tops and dresses that stand out for their delicate styles and lingerie-look trims. Camouflage is floral patterns in soft khaki tones blended with light greys, cream and a slight touch of orange.

CHANCE
Total refinement. A laid back retro-style masculine look with girly touches such as pearls and encrusted stonework, printed lace and contrasting black and white polka dots and stripes. Silhouettes that cinch the waist, corsets and asymmetrical garments. All framed in luminous, neutral tones such as grey, muted and sweet pink, combined with the serene opulence of black. Fabrics include tweed, lace, tulle, and full flowing fabric blends.

NATIVE
The cowgirl spirit of this collection comes to the fore in the earth and tan tones. Metal studs are everywhere to be seen on the faux-suede garments, the faded T-shirt prints and lots of double denim in jackets and jeans.

As for the lines, check out the combat pants and shorts, shirts and T-shirts with military trims, plus accessories including caps, foulards and belts.

SOHO
This trend features ultra-modern styles offering an alternative vision in uniform tones. A breakaway from formality comes with the garment trims, turning them into absolute must-haves: skinny legs in grey and purples, check trousers with pleats and high waists and black Bedouins; military hooded granddad shirts in shades of grey and black with checks and stripes; T-shirts in similar tones but with a splash of colour; aubergine combined with black and white prints for knitwear, jackets and jerseys in faded black and grey tones; bomber jackets in fake leather and nylon, reversible blazers in black and navy with check prints.

DENIM
A whole host of jeans to cover the full range of styles and looks. Key items include the five pocket styles in a selection of colours and trimmed with multiple appliqués, zips and patches. Bleached styles are a hot trend. And we’ve come up with news forms including innovative baggy and Bedouin styles… Keep an eye out too for those classic five pocket shorts or the Bedouin version, ideal for the summer season.
